- A float switch is a type of level sensor, used to detect the level of water in the tank.
- It senses the water level in the tank and switch OFF the motor automatically when the tank is full thereby preventing the tank overflow.
- The sensor acts as an electromagnetic ON/OFF switch. These sensors have a permanent magnet in the float.
- The switch is present in the white stem of the sensor. As the float rises or falls with the level of water in the tank, the switch gets activated by the magnet in the float.
- The signal received from the sensors is used along with the water level controllers for controlling the motor.
- The float level sensor is corrosion free, durable and long lasting.
